Hensler joined the Gryphons prior to the 2024 season, assisting head coach Tom Diliberto with the men's and women's cross country programs. Hensler and Diliberto brought the women's program its first-ever Skyline Conference Championship in the 2025 season as the coaching staff mentored newcomers Perry Yun and Whitney Hall to all-conference status while continuing the development of all-conference runner Caitlin McCabe.
