- 2021-22 Skyline Coach of the Year
A four-time Skyline Conference Coach of the Year winner, Drury joined the Gryphons after spending five seasons as the head coach of the men’s and women’s swim teams for Mount Saint Mary College.
While with the Knights, Drury was responsible for creating schedules, implementing training exercises, and organizing fundraising initiatives. In addition to coaching, Drury served as the aquatics director for the athletic center’s pool. In that role, he oversaw the pool’s schedule, rental income, and safety protocols. Drury obtained his pool operator certification while at Mount Saint Mary, becoming well-versed in the best practices for maintaining quality pools.
Drury graduated with his B.S. in business administration and a minor in Hispanic language and culture from MSMC in 2010. In 2012, he earned his MBA from Mount Saint Mary College.
2021-22
In Drury's first year at the helm of the Sarah Lawrence swim program, he helped mentor female swimmer Drew Lei-Alerta who would set numerous Sarah Lawrence records, including three that still stand as of the summer of 2023. On the men's side, it would be Mani Roshandel who would set multiple records, with two remaining intact a season later. The women's swim team, led by Lei-Alerta, would earn a second-place finish in the Skyline championships behind the United States Merchant Marine Academy and the men's team would finish in fourth place in that same championship. Drury would earn another Skyline Coach of the Year award following the success of both teams, adding to his 2016 and 2018 Coach of the Year awards received while at Mount Saint Mary.
2022-23
Under Drury's instruction, the Sarah Lawrence women's swim team finished second in the Skyline conference behind perennial powerhouse Merchant Marine. Multiple Gryphons earned all-conference honors, including the Skyline Rookie of the Year Keilani Talma. Talma and senior Katherine McKane both took home first-team all-conference honors in individual events and joined Ella Hernan, Genevieve Chiappetta and Josie Laur in earning all-conference second-team recognition for their contributions to the SLC relay teams. McKane and Talma both set school records at the Metropolitan Swimming Championships with the help of Drury, as Talma set the record in the 200 freestyle and McKane did so in the 400 I.M.
2023-24
In his third season, Drury continued the development of his second-place team from the year prior. The Gryphons finished fourth at the Skyline championships with 12 top-six individual event finishes and the duo of Talma and Chiappetta made the conference's second team in multiple events. He also saw Patrick Rau grow on the men's side, performing well in both the Skyline and Metropolitan Championship meets.
2024-25
Drury continued to develop the Gryphons into a Skyline contender in year four, as Hernan, Talma and company continued to flourish for SLC. After the women's team swept non-conference Division III opponents and went 9-2 overall, the group wrapped up the season with a third-place showing at the Skyline Championships and a fourth-place result at the Metropolitan Championships. Patrick Rau, in his second year with the men's program, continued to progress under Drury's tutelage.
2025-26
In the 2025-26 season, the Gryphons boasted an 11-2 overall record in the regular season, including a strong opening weekend against William Paterson and St. Joseph's Long Island. Drury continued to mentor Talma, Hernan and Rau, with the pair of women's swimmers earning all-conference recognition in multiple events to cap historic Skyline careers. Rau, who graduated after the fall semester, did not swim in the team's championship meets, but ended an impressive SLC career with a four-win day on December 6th, leading the pack in all of his events.
