BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - For the second time this season, women's soccer first-year Lauren Ashby (Syracuse, N.Y./William Nottingham) has been named Skyline Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week, announced by the conference on Monday.

Ashby scored three goals last week, including a pair in a 2-0 shutout over Old Westbury. The rookie scored one goal in each half, leading the Gryphons to their first-ever victory over the Panthers.

Ashby has been impressive in her very first season with the Gryphons, leading the team and the Skyline in points (30) and 13 goals, which are also team-records. Ashby's offensive prowess has her among the nation's leaders in several offensive categories.

As a team, Sarah Lawrence ranks among the top-25 in the country in scoring offense (3.86) and points per game (9.86).

The Gryphons, now 3-3-1 overall with a 2-1 conference record, return to action Wednesday (Sept. 27) at Purchase at 7 p.m.
