BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – Junior
Colin Berg (Franklin, Mass./Mount Saint Charles Academy) has been named Skyline Men's Soccer Player of the Week, announced by the conference on Monday. Berg helped the Gryphons to a 2-1 week, combining to score five goals in the three games.
Following a 4-0 win over York, Berg turned in a historic performance in Saturday's game against Pratt, posting a team-record four goals in a 7-3 win. Berg scored all four goals in the second half, including three in a span of 2:05, the fourth-fastest hat-trick in NCAA Division III history. The junior concluded the weekend by scoring the team's lone goal in Sunday's match against Baruch.
Berg has started all seven games for the Gryphons this season, tallying six goals and two assists.
Berg is the first Gryphon men's soccer player to earn Skyline Player of the Week recognition since joining the conference in 2014.
Sarah Lawrence (3-4) returns to action Tuesday with a contest at Purchase at 7 p.m.
