Team Record Four Gryphon Earn All-Conference Honors; Finish Third at Skyline Championships

PURCHASE, N.Y. – A team-record four Gryphons earned Skyline All-Conference honors on Wednesday as the Sarah Lawrence women's cross country team placed third at the Skyline Championships at Purchase College.

ALL-CONFERENCE PERFORMERS
Rosa Mykyta-Chomsky (Philadelphia, Pa./Germantown Friends School) became the third Gryphon to earn Skyline First Team honors, placing 6th with a time of 24:58, a new personal-record and the best Sarah Lawrence finish in the Skyline championship in team history.

Each competing at the championships for the final time, Tiffany Meier (Goleta, Calif./Olive Grove Charter) and Katie Shepard (Visalia, Calif./Mount Whitney) each received Second Team recognition with personal-best times. Meier finished 8th in 25:04, while Shepard placed 14th with a mark of 25:08.

Jemma Fisher (Northampton, Mass./Northampton) became the first-ever rookie in program history to earn Skyline All-Conference honors, finishing 10th with a time of 25:15. She was one of two first-years to make the all-conference squad.

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
Janey Bombara (Newton, Mass./Newton North) (27:46.2) and Katherine Labadie (New Orleans, La./Benjamin Franklin) (27:46.4) each hit a new PR in the conference championship race, finishing 31st and 32nd, respectively.

Lea Perry (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central) (29:13), Mei Takehana (Tokyo, Japan/Perkiomen School) (29:54), Natalie Wyse (Tolland, Conn./Tolland) (32:01) and Dani Dyen-Shapiro (Estero, Fla./Cypress Lake) (34:00) also set new personal-bests in the 6,000-meter event.
