BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The Sarah Lawrence College men's and women's soccer teams have been recognized by the United Soccer Coaches with the College Team Academic Award for the 2016-17 academic year.

United Soccer Coaches annually recognizes college and high school programs that have excelled in the classroom in addition to their hard work on the field. A total of 816 teams (283 men, 533 women) posted a team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the award.

On the men's side, the Gryphons are one of two schools in the Skyline Conference to receive the honor. On the women's side, Sarah Lawrence is one of five institutions to receive the award.

Sarah Lawrence is one of 197 schools that had both their men's and women's programs recognized.
