NEW YORK—Sarah Lawrence College softball player
Amanda Kelly (Brooklyn, N.Y., Brooklyn Sch. for Collaborative Studies) has been named to the Hudson Valley Women's Athletic Conference Honor Roll for the period ending April 28, as announced by the league on Tuesday.
In the Gryphons' 11-10 nail-biter loss to CNR, Kelly hit 3-for-3 with a run, two batted in and a walk. In her first plate appearance, she hit an RBI-single up the middle to tie the game and came around to score the go-ahead run at 3-2. She added another RBI hit in the fourth to give the Gryphons an 8-3 lead.
Sarah Lawrence softball plays its final regular season game on Friday when the Gryphons host College of New Rochelle for a 5 p.m. ballgame. Sarah Lawrence will play host to the 2013 Hudson Valley Women's Athletic Conference Softball Championship on Sunday, May 5, at Mary LeVine Field. The No. 3-seed Gryphons are scheduled to face No. 2 CNR in a semifinal game at 10 a.m.
