Kerr Cup Invitational Regatta Results

PHILADELPHIA, Pa.—Sarah Lawrence College women's crew is set for its final race of the 2012-13 season as the team rows in its third-straight weekend of competition.

On April 13, the Gryphons competed at the 2013 Spring Metropolitan Championships, hosted by the Metropolitan Intercollegiate Rowing Association. The team continued on to compete at the Kerr Cup Invitational Regatta, April 20 on the Schuylkill River. Sarah Lawrence rounds out its spring with a dual against Dowling College on Friday with a trip to the Dowling Spring Sprints on Saturday.

At the Spring Met Championships, the Gryphons rowed the 2000m course in relatively pleasant weather with teams facing moderate waves but calm winds. In the team's heat, Sarah Lawrence took third place, falling to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Iona College.

In Philadelphia, Sarah Lawrence squared off against competition from Drexel University, La Salle University and Fordham University at the Kerr Cup regatta. Despite challenging weather conditions, including a strong wind and current, the Gryphons were able to keep pace with their NCAA Division I opponents, finishing fourth in the event.

Sarah Lawrence is set to face Dowling College in a dual race on Friday morning in Oakdale, N.Y. The Gryphons return to the waters of the Great South Bay on Saturday for their season finale at the Dowling Spring Sprints.
