NEW YORK–The Hudson Valley Men's Athletic Conference (HVMAC) and Hudson Valley Women's Athletic Conference (HVWAC) announced their fall 2012 All-Academic Teams on Wednesday. Among the honorees, Sarah Lawrence College collected 23 accolades, including six repeat members.

On the men's side, the Gryphons led all league schools with nine honorees, while the Sarah Lawrence women garnered 14 team selections, trailing only Yeshiva University's 21.

Soccer player Harper Hunt (Paris, Texas, Paris) and cross country runner Taylor Zansberg were two of only 12 athletes in both leagues to receive the recognition for the third-straight year.

The All-Academic Team recognizes excellence both in the field of play and in the classroom and consists of student-athletes who have reached sophomore academic standing with a 3.5 cumulative grade point average or better while participating in a conference-sponsored sport.
