NEW YORK—Sarah Lawrence College men's basketball player Francis Oppong (Brooklyn, N.Y., Erasmus) has been named to the Hudson Valley Men's Athletic Conference (HVMAC) weekly Honor Roll for the period ending January 27, as announced by the league on Tuesday.

Oppong led the Gryphons with 20 points and 15 rebounds in two games last week. He is averaging just over 10 points per game and leads the squad in rebounds and points scored.

The senior started the week by totaling eight points and seven rebounds in 25 minutes against Vaughn College. On Sunday, he came away with a team-high 12 points and eight rebounds versus Albany Pharmacy.

Sarah Lawrence basketball returns to the court on Wednesday, when the team hosts St. Joseph's College Brooklyn in the squad's final home HVMAC showdown of the season. Fans are encouraged to wear white to support the Gryphons.
