NEW YORK—For the third time this season, Sarah Lawrence College basketball player
Greg Smith (Tampa, Fla., Gaither) has been named to the Hudson Valley Men's Athletic Conference (HVMAC) weekly honor roll, as announced by the league on Tuesday.
Smith recorded his third-straight double-double, posting a team-high 16 points and game-high 14 rebounds in the Gryphons' only game of the week against The King's College. He also swiped a season- and game-high six steals.
The junior transfer from University of South Florida leads the Gryphons in scoring with 13.2 points per game. He is also averaging 8.4 rebounds per appearance. The Honor Roll selection is Smith's third of the year and accompanies an HVMAC Rookie of the Week selection in November.
Sarah Lawrence basketball returns to action in its next game at home against HVMAC opponent Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Tip-off is scheduled for Sunday, January 27 at 3 p.m. Head coach
Chris Ehmer will be clad in sneakers as part of the American Cancer Society's annual Coaches vs. Cancer awareness campaign.
