NEW YORK—Sarah Lawrence College men's soccer players
Harper Hunt (Paris, Texas, Paris) and
Ishaan Pujari (Bangalore, India, Inventure Academy) have been named to the 2012 Hudson Valley Men's Athletic Conference (HVMAC) Soccer All-Conference Team, as announced by the league office on Monday.
Hunt has been a four-year player for the Gryphons, and was named to the 2011 All-HVMAC team. Despite missing part of the 2012 campaign due to injury, the senior was a major contributor to the Sarah Lawrence offense, posting three goals and three assists in 10 games played. As the team's penalty kick specialist, Hunt netted three all three of his penalty attempts this year, leading the league in the category.
Pujari captures his first All-HVMAC honors after leading the Gryphons in scoring this season. The sophomore posted 11 goals, falling one short of the league leader. Coupled with a league-high six assists, Pujari tallied 28 points, leading all players in the conference. Pujari's 2012 resume includes four games with two goals scored, including two game-winning goals. He was named HVMAC Player of the Week on Oct. 23 after notching a combined three goals and two assists in games against Bard College and Webb Institute.
The 2012 men's soccer campaign ended with the Gryphons in possession of a 3-3 league record, having qualified for the HVMAC Soccer Championship tournament for the first time in program history.
